Course Overview: This course is designed to provide fundamentals in operational planning, leadership, and implementation. The course begins with an overview of planning methodologies and progresses to the implementation of information/ intelligence into the planning cycle. Furthermore, the course develops an understanding of leadership principles vital to planning and execution of operations. Finally, the course covers pitfalls in planning and execution of operations with a focus on overcoming cognitive biases. All instruction is reinforced using practical exercises and case studies.

End State: The student is prepared to plan and implement those plans across the full spectrum of police operations in both a deliberate and dynamic environment.

MANTA training is provided free of charge to Law Enforcement Officers through a Governor’s Crime Commission Grant and the NC National Guard Counterdrug Program.
