Description: The Counterdrug Aircraft Familiarization Basic Course is designed to train and familiarize our federal, state, and local law enforcement partners on rotary wing aircraft procedures when their intent is to fly on a military aircraft while in support of counterdrug operations. This course provides the LEO a basic understanding of tactics, techniques and procedures including but not limited to:

• Loading and Unloading the aircraft
• Aircraft Safety
• Commercial Communications Integration
• Radio Net Procedures
• Aerial Observation Techniques
• Aircraft Capabilities and Limitations

MANTA training is provided free of charge to Law Enforcement Officers through a Governor’s Crime Commission Grant and the NC National Guard Counterdrug Program.
