Description: This 24 hour course covers the world of criminal interdiction by combining classroom and practical hands-on training. Topics include: current drug trends and how drugs are smuggled into the U.S.A., identifying physical indicators, detecting deception during the interview, effective vehicle searches, identifying concealment locations/hidden compartments, and much more. Practical exercises include multiple exhibits and real-life training props that will be utilized including vehicles with electronically controlled false compartments.  This course was developed in 2005 and has taught over 2,000 officers across the southeast. It’s currently the only course of its kind offered in this area due to the unique displays and hands on activities.

 

 

MANTA training is provided free of charge to Law Enforcement Officers through a Governor’s Crime Commission Grant and the NC National Guard Counterdrug Program.
