Instructor: Mike Hull (Natural Awareness Tracking School)
Description: Explore the ancient skill of visually tracking humans (aka man-tracking).Understand the science and art of aging tracks and sign.Use tools to identify and record track evidence of a particular individual.We will have a good time while exploring and practicing track preservation (measure, sketch, photograph and cast), situational awareness, trailing a person, and night tracking.
NOTE: THIS IS A PHYSICALLY DEMANDING CLASS AND REQUIRES THE STUDENT TO BE PREPARED FOR STRENUOUS FIELD WORK IN VARYING ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Long gun with a sling
Any tactical gear to be used in woodland ops
Camouflage BDU shirts, pants, head net, camo gloves
Hydration pack system
High top boots
Small red light or light with red, blue, yellow or green filter
Small first aid kit with Moleskin
Handheld department radio
MANTA training is provided free of charge to Law Enforcement Officers through a Governor’s Crime Commission Grant and the NC National Guard Counterdrug Program.
